Adam Rice is a thief regarded by the police as "The Ghost" due to his ability to just disappear from the crime scene or elude people trying to follow him.
The police once tried to arrest him in a Honeytrap operation. They sent in an undercover officer to gain his trust, which Adam somehow discovered. He played along and conned her and the police into staking out a site where ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz were being held. Adam burgled somewhere else.
Being forced by the police, the crew try to enlist his help in stealing an original Hans Christian Anderson manuscript. Though initially hesitant to join a team he does not know well, he is attracted by the idea of working with Ash Morgan and helps the crew. Despite the blackmail threat facing them, not only did the team recover the manuscript, but they were subsequently able to plant fake evidence revealing that the cop that arrested them had tried to frame them in the first place.
Ash suspects Adam has become so used to people following him he has made a habit of slipping away unnoticed, even from a bar.
